There are two options for “processing” a team missions trip. “Processing” a team prior to departure ensures the opportunity for AG World Missions credit and insurance for team members.

AGWM PROCESSING OF TEAMS OPTION

CHURCH PROCESSING OF MAPS TEAMS OPTION

Step 1:   Screen all team members through www.NSOPW.gov or with a criminal background check.  If you choose to run background checks, please complete the MAPS Team Background Checks form and send to your Team Application Specialist.

Step 2:   Obtain signed Assumption of Risk forms for each team member 18 years or older.

Step 3:   Obtain signed Code of Conduct for each team member.

Step 4:   Obtain signed and notarized parental consent forms for each team member under the age of 18.

Step 5:   Verify that all team members have purchased required GTL insurance. GTL insurance coverage is not intended to replace the team member's current coverage but is in addition to the coverage. In case of a medical emergency or accident, the host missionary normally takes care of making the arrangements for medical treatment and/or evacuation with AGWM's assistance. AGWM has a long relationship with GTL due to their high standards and low cost. Therefore we require all teams to be insured through GTL.

Step 6:   Obtain emergency contact information for each team member.

Step 7:   Send AGWM the notarized MAPS Team Processing form stating that the above steps have been completed.
